Benjamin is a Director (Compliance, Legal) at CPP Investments, with responsibility for the global enterprise compliance program. He has extensive experience as in-house counsel and in private practice, specializing in financial regulation, derivatives, and investment funds. Prior to joining CPP Investments, Benjamin led the Markets Legal team at BT Pension Scheme Management (operating as Brightwell), and held various roles at Linklaters and Ernst & Young in Europe, Asia, and North America. Benjamin is dual qualified as a Solicitor and a Chartered Accountant.Benjamin is also an officer in the Canadian Forces (Reserve Force) with experience in training development and operational support capacities. He has been awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration. In the community, Benjamin serves in a number of governance roles with charities, youth criminal justice services and professional bodies. He is a recipient of the Freedom of the City of London.Benjamin is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and the University of British Columbia.
