Family and Youth Initiative (DCFYI) is a Washington DC non-profit dedicated to decreasing the number of teenagers who leave foster care without the support of caring adults. We match teens with 1) mentors (1+ hours weekly), 2) host parents (weekends), and 3) adoptive parents.

Reviewed IRS field memos, informal Chief Counsel advice, litigation matters, letter rulings, and published guidance projects on corporate tax law involving formations, reorganizations, spin-offs, distributions, redemptions, liquidations, contributions, bankruptcies, consolidated returns, and more.

At the Office of the Tax Legislative Counsel (TLC), and in consultation with the IRS, I assist in developing and reviewing policy, legislation, regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, and other published guidance dealing with nearly all aspects of domestic federal income tax law. As an attorney-advisor I also assist congressional staff and the Office of Tax Policy in formulating, analyzing, drafting, and reviewing legislation on behalf of the Administration and in support of its policies. While my background in cross-border corporate tax will aid in the efficiency of related projects, my responsibilities will include guidance impacting corporate, partnership, and individual tax law.
