I am responsible for 3 schools in the Desoto County, MS area consisting of roughly 300 staff and 1700 students in my areas.

At FedEx SupplyChain I and one other I.T. professional are responsible for maintaining and deploying the I.T. infrastructure at the various SupplyChain locations in the Memphis area. This includes basic troubleshooting and repair of workstations and peripherals used in the warehouse as well as those in the office areas or off site. We are also responsible for the deployment of new systems, network infrastructure, voice communications systems, RF scanners used throughout the warehouse, VPN support, temperature and humidity monitoring systems, and other various I.T. related services. This is a new position within FedEx Supply Chain that has grown out of necessity due to the differences between our OpCo and the other FedEx corporations. So, a large portion of the job is also handling the politics, planning, and communications required to successfully implement new changes. Current plans for future development in this position include providing in house programming and warehouse management system configuration responsibilities.

Though training seems like it would be an easy job, the bigger picture focus was to make sure that the election officials felt comfortable with the process and equipment and knew that in times of question or need that those of us at the election commission had their back. This would provide the support to the "troops" necessary so that they could in turn accomplish their goal of making every voter feel as though their vote counts. So you can say that by successfully training 1,170 workers, indirectly I was responsible for ensuring that the 60,000+ registered voters in Shelby County, TN knows that they count in their government. No pressure, right!?!?!

I served as both the I.T. Director of Retirement Companies of America and Kirby Pines Retirement Community. I was responsible for maintaining the existing I.T. technologies in both locations including workstations, servers, network equipment, and network based peripherals such as copy systems, a security camera system, and security systems. Along with these existing technologies I was responsible for securing and improving the existing environment to make the information systems more cost effective.

I served clients technical needs through network and workstation support, server implementation, database and software maintenance and support, and infrastructure development. These responsibilities are performed through a mixture of in house, on site, and remote support methods. When I am not supporting one of our many clients I also research and test new solutions to find ways to provide better support for our clients. Customers include a variety of professions but consist heavily of orthodontic and dentist offices, financial investment and benefits firms, chemical testing labs, engineering firms, and manufacturing companies.

Managed and maintained the organization’s systems including workstations, servers, network equipment, and network based peripherals such as copy systems, a security camera system, and a HVAC system. Along with supporting these existing technologies I was responsible for researching new technologies that may be beneficial to that working environment.

I provided a full range of technology based services as a self employed technician. Services rendered included web design, network troubleshooting and repair, workstation design and building, computer upgrades and maintenance, software troubleshooting, database maintenance and design, and on-site tech support. Customers included Trinity Baptist Church, Olive Branch Suzuki and Yamaha, Covers Unlimited, Computer Solutions Unlimited, Indy Computers, and the Memphis Area Metro Bible Study.

I was responsible for hardware consulting, repair, building, and troubleshooting. I did troubleshooting on network and internet issues for many residential and business clients. Some notable customers included the Desoto Civic Center, Desoto County Sheriff’s Office, Trinity Baptist Church, and the Desoto Family Medical Clinic

I provided customers with cost effective solutions according to their specific needs, while helping customers evaluate and understand their business needs. I also provided tech support for products sold and assisted untrained and inexperienced individuals in learning to take full advantage of their equipment.
