Served as a Medical Sergeant on a Middle Eastern oriented 12-man Special Forces team; trained, advised, and directed team members and allied or indigenous personnel (over 2,500 personnel) in primary care, emergency, preventative, dental, and veterinary medicine; maintained team health and shot records and medical equipment, and provided medical treatment for the team; prepared medical portion of operations plans and orders including mass casualty medical evacuation plans, austere terrain extrication plans, and casualty evacuation plans in areas under hostile control. Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP), Ultrasound Trauma Assessments, X-Ray Radiography, Anesthesia and Minor Surgery, Intensive Care Nursing, and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) and Advanced Tactical Paramedic (ATP). Advised, trained, and led up to 150 indigenous military personnel during numerous deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Central Asia. Conversational rating in Modern Standard Arabic with a working focus on medical terminology.
