As the Coatings Division Administrator at Beta Group my primary role was to take orders, mostly by telephone, and process them on the company software SAP Business One. We had a loyal customer base of around 150 professional companies, which I had to build and maintain positive relationships with. I also managed stock and dealt with purchasing as well.As part of this role I was required to have a basic understanding of wood finishing and paint products, along with anticipating and meeting new customer requirements, including meeting strict deadlines on a daily basis. I was also given the responsibility to update price lists for each of the customers and also price new products. During my tenure the profit percentage rose by twenty percent.Working in a team of just five people meant everyone was an important and valuable member and that everyone was required to be hard working and reliable at all times.

I had many varying roles at Smiths Medical. I was part of a small team who worked the night shift (6pm-6am) where my role was in quality control and packing of the products. We constantly met and exceeding our deadlines during this time. I proved myself to be easy to work with and flexible by being available on many varying shifts from week to week as my tenure went on. I also made and printed the labels for each product, and occassionally I was involved in the actual manufacturing of the medical products. As we were manufacturing and packing medical supplies, all of these roles needed complete concentration and accuracy for long periods of time whilst still working in a goal orientated environment.
