I founded my business in the small town of Alamo, Nevada with a mission to build audiences.That objective has led me to a fulfilling career using media to strengthen organizations and connect people to trustworthy resources. I do this through various roles in journalism and general communications.As a digital editor, I build and manage news websites, curate loyal audiences, and establish revenue streams to achieve consistent profitability. As a managing editor, I discover and train reporters and improve the quality and scope of content. As owner/publisher of news publications, I modernize workflows, grow revenue streams, and place them on a path to long-term success. In other media projects, I've worked with hundreds of clients. As a marketing coordinator for a tourism agency, I developed its web and social media presence and consistently increased year-over-year traffic and engagement. I founded a community coalition by establishing relationships with various leaders and inviting them to the table to combat youth substance abuse. With a group of passionate volunteers, I helped establish a non-profit that works to preserve and enhance its community. I used the power of effective communication to establish visibility for these organizations and secure financial viability through fundraising, writing grants, and putting on successful events.Today, my mission remains the same - to build audiences. I’m always open to new, worthwhile media projects and particularly interested in news publications looking to establish long-term sustainability. As a rural business owner, I’m also building RuralBusiness.com to create a community around issues important to rural business professionals. On a personal note:I’m a happily married father of five, living a small-town life. My hobbies include watching, playing, and coaching basketball, learning guitar, construction projects, and enjoying the outdoors. I believe all of us have infinite, eternal worth and that life is always better when surrounded by family, friends, and food.
