But my 'real' career started over a decade ago when I began my first business. Many startup scars later, I exited my last startup, a B2C e-commerce marketplace focused on ethically made products, via a trade sale. Iβm organised, articulate and adaptive, good with numbers & I care about people. My mindset is always long-term but I move and pivot fast when data and strategy light a better path. I bring obsessive focus to things Iβm passionate about but I loathe self-entitlement, unchallenged dogma and bureaucracy.Iβm passionate about people, living a full and balanced life and doing meaningful work. I find my center playing in the natural environment on which our quality of life depends. In six months, I led the website build and creation of 1,300+ unique content pages. We used videos to generate awareness and the YouTube channel created for the site has over 1.7mm views. This was my first foray into online and I developed an appreciation for the art and science of SEO as well as the fundamental question all start-ups must answer - what is your revenue plan. Ours was online advertising but I couldn't gain traction quickly enough to see a sustainable revenue stream. It essentially failed and I shut down the site.
