My career began in 2005 in the real estate lending industry in San Diego, CA during the dawn of the mortgage meltdown. I had a front row seat, as a sub-prime mortgage account executive, to witness the results of unbridled greed and speculation. Before the dust settled from the initial financial implosion of 2007-2008, I had earned my real estate broker license and was on my way to managing my own future as an entrepreneur. I built my business one client at a time and learned how to manage every aspect of my real estate and mortgage retail business. Growth and success came, thankfully, but there was a problem. I wasn’t passionate about real estate and mortgages. I was a husband and father working hard to provide, but I didn’t love my career. 2015 was a transformative year as numerous friends, all working in the skilled nursing industry, helped me see the incredible opportunities and happiness available to those willing to serve as a nursing home administrator. I saw the opportunity and, with the faith and love of my wife, left everything I knew to pursue a new career. I sold my mortgage business and became an AIT (administrator in training) with the best SNF (skilled nursing facility) company at the time, Plum Healthcare. I moved my family to Clovis, CA in 2016 and managed a 103 bed SNF for 3 years in Fresno and then, in 2019, saw a chance to turn around a struggling 140 bed SNF in Visalia. I commuted to Visalia and ran that facility for 4 incredible years. Both facilities taught me how to be a leader. Jericho Care Group was founded Dec 2022 because of my desire to enrich more lives. With the help of one of my mentors from my San Diego days, and together with one of my administrator colleagues, we’re building a CA Central Valley-based leadership company with a mission to enrich lives in happy, helpful, and heartfelt ways. I’m thrilled about the future and feel so blessed to have so many friends and mentors who have helped me get to this point. My greatest supporter is my wife who helped me take so many steps into the unknown throughout my career. It’s been an incredible ride and we feel like it’s just begun. Jericho Care Group owns and operates skilled nursing facilities. We begin with a culture of caring for our staff and residents. That’s who we are. Clinical and financial excellence is what we do. Personal and census growth is what we achieve. That’s the Jericho Way.
