I was the technology department at Nite Media. I devised the strategy, the architecture, and successfully coded all of Nite Media's client technology. I also built the website (delivered in 2 days based on urgent request) and delivered the core software ahead of schedule.Ultimately, the business and culture were not a good fit for me personally, but it was rewarding in validating my ability to succeed in a role where the technical responsibility was down to me alone.

I worked directly for the VP of Engineering to design and develop Conductor's public REST API, using Java/Spring, python, AWS, and the usual modern source control and build stack. I also worked directly with an early partner/client of the API to produce documentation and bring the whole project in on time. I even added a last-minute feature request with time to spare.

Developed a custom IVR solution for a major hedge fund using Twilio, Django/AppEngine and Force.com. Also developed Codestreet products on Force.com with Python and Javascript to move beyond Salesforce's (serious) limitations.

Worked on all aspects of supporting a hosted fixed-income trading platform. This included monitoring servers and networks, communicating with client IT departments as well as end-users, owning the onboarding of new client firms, writing custom management and reporting scripts in python, SQL, bash, etc. I was promoted from this position to developer on consulting and proprietary products after self-study on weekends and evenings.
