I joined in 2013 the Deloitte International Tax Centre of Excellence for the Middle East and North Africa region located in Dubai (UAE). I am now overseeing and coordinating M&A transactions across the Middle East and overseas (Africa and Asia) in a wide range of industries (but a majority of oil and gas transactions). More specifically, my responsibilities include the following:- Tax due diligence on target entities or target assets in order to assess risk of tax exposures as well as verify reported tax attributes within the context of private equity transactions (whether sell-side or buy-side), IPOs, right issues, etc.- Tax review of legal supporting documentation, notably offer letters or sale purchase agreements to ensure consistency with tax structuring and due diligence advice.- Review of financial models from a tax perspective together with corporate finance.- Tax structuring advice on various range of transactions.- Project management and coordination of various foreign offices on complex cross-border engagements.

I joined Deloitte Luxembourg as a Junior Consultant on September 2005 and made Senior Manager on September 2011. I spent 8 years in Luxembourg advising mainly private equity and real estate funds on their cross-border investments and tax structures. I also gained a broad skillset of tax knowledge on regulated investment funds and investment management activities.More specifically, I participated to the following:- Setting-up of regulated real estate funds (SICAV, FCP and SICAR).- Tax structuring of investment funds and management companies.- Cross-border tax structuring of private equity / real estate transactions from inception to implementation.- Withholding tax reclaims under the Aberdeen ECJ case laws.I was also assigned for 5 months with the Luxembourg office of a major UK private equity house in 2007 (part-time basis) to assist the local team on Luxembourg tax implications with respect to acquisitions, refinancing or liquidation of SPVs (advisory and compliance).

I was assigned for 6 months in the International Tax Centre of Excellence of Deloitte LLP in New York (USA). I was part of the Luxembourg desk where I worked on a wide range of international transactions involving Luxembourg, in connection with the US office (e.g. financing structures, IP, distressed debt, etc.).
