Having tried my hand at various other career opportunities, I have decided to go it on my own. As the owner of Solargreen, LLC, my duties are to coordinate (and currently, perform) marketing, sales, installation, purchasing, shipping receiving, etc. the products I install in peoples' homes and businesses. Namely I install solar panel systems, windows, siding and other efficiency improving products (solar attic fans, reflective heat barriers, etc.)

I worked for American Exteriors again to test gained skills and pursue a different course with them in managing their offices. I also am managing the lead-generation through various conventions and trade shows as well as being the team captain (field supervisor) of the AST team here. Made process suggestions and improvements to work group members, direct supervisor, and occasionally members of other work groups (including CEO and VPs of marketing and research) for achieving team and personal goals and functions. I also tried to provide necessary resources and help to remove any obstacles to help the team accomplish its stated goals, this included leadership, staging, planning, and ordering materials. I also designed new marketing materials for American Exteriors.

I worked selling new home services like security, TV, internet, and phone. Here, I have been Griffin-Hill sales-trained which has improved many aspects of my own life, not just professionally. I communicate and listen more effectively. and have been able to make a more streamlined sales process.

I was hired to promote the business across the nation, which I did; gathering clients from all across the country. I created a marketing campaign and implemented it to direct those customers to us. This included print and web materials as well as other designs, some of which were used (packaging, mainly) and some not (clothing, chotchkies, etc. they were seen as an extraneous expense). Although originally it was a team effort (I generated the leads and initial contacts, and my colleague would close the sales). I eventually walked customers through the whole process. Recently, my duties have evolved to manage everything from lead-generation to supply-chain solutions, to invoicing. This includes dealing with various carriers (Estes, Old Dominion, private, UPS and about 12 more) on a regular basis to determine the least expensive, most effective choice to carry heavy or light loads. I was also in charge of billing and collecting monies for any transaction required, to determine creditworthiness of all clients. I needed to reading & interpret blueprints, schematics, standard work instructions and production orders to assemble ductile iron pipes and fire hydrant components. using various hand and machine tools such as: press drills, power feed motors, calipers, countersink tool & other hand tools.

I worked for American Exteriors for over five years and have been, perhaps, the most successful canvasser and lead generator to work for this window and siding company. New-given responsibilities saw me opening up new areas to work and managing a team of marketing professionals in the Denver area. From this experience I have gained an appreciation of and talent for breaking the ice and discovering needs of people. Because I was on my own for much of this job, it instilled a sense of self-starting and accomplishment. I had to be focused on a goal and willing to work however I needed to to make it happen. Thus my time-management and personal management skills increased remarkably to help me become one of the best to ever work for this company. Also, because of management and being independent, I took independent action when confronted with routine problems and situations. I implemented new ideas and solutions without prompting (though I got approval, if necessary). Occasionally, I took action that went beyond job requirements in order to achieve objectives such as working later or in unconventional areas or using different techniques to communicate
