Twenty-five years ago -- October 03, 1993 -- I sat at a computer for the first time. I was fascinated, and I learned almost immediately that I had a gift: like a craftsman who can listen to a watch and know which gear is causing time drift, I could perceive the unseen weakness in a computer system. Those first fascinations have led me here: doing my very best every day to identify risks and keep people safe.For two years now, I've been extremely fortunate to lead the Cyber Security team here at Hyatt. At Hyatt, our purpose is "We care for people so they can be their best." Cyber Security is a huge part of that mission -- caring for the information of our guests and colleagues and keeping them safe. Today, I care about and talk about a few things that matter most to me: widely sharing cyber threat information, taking proactive action to deny access to attackers, and above all protecting people and keeping their information safe.
