I oversee the company, write and edit the weekly newsletter, and host the podcast.

Project management, cross-office coordination, and strategic communications for agency initiatives. Work with school district leaders, state associations, and other external partners to advance ODE mission. Projects include "Ready Schools, Safe Learners" guidance for navigating COVID-19, "Every Student Belong" rule prohibiting hate symbols, agency-wide equity strategic plan, grant consolidation, school safety work, and elevating student voice in policy decisions.

Design curriculum/instructional materials, support instruction, and evaluate student work for EDUC 445/STRAMGT 335: Entrepreneurial Approaches to Education Reform.

Managed relationships with legislators, state agency leadership, and organizational partners. Supported member engagement for 1,600 administrators. Policy lead for statewide nutrition program expansion, making Oregon the national leader in nutrition access.

Fellow with the Urban Leaders Fellowship based in Washington, D.C. with a focus on education policy issues, including school safety challenges. Worked directly with the Chair of the D.C. Council's Education Committee; my policy recommendations were included in the School Safety Act of 2018, which passed unanimously out of the Education Committee and received full funding from the Council.

Graduate student in the Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies (POLS) Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education. Capstone project focused on improving Oregon's high school graduation rate and the intersection of education policy and the political process.

In this role, I used experiential and brain-based learning techniques to teach social and emotional learning (SEL) skills to primarily low-income students in the United States, including how to be creative, build relationships, solve complex problems, move through adversity, and take responsibility. Additionally, I helped develop SEL curriculum.

- Run the office of Representative Margaret Doherty, chair of the House Committee on Education.- Execute communications and constituent services plan via electronic and print newsletters, social media, public events, and media relations.- Assist government agencies in resolving concerns of constituents.- Research and draft policy recommendations, navigate legislation through the legislative process.- Advise Rep. Doherty on all political and policy matters.
