Projects include "Ready Schools, Safe Learners" guidance for navigating COVID-19, "Every Student Belong" rule prohibiting hate symbols, agency-wide equity strategic plan, grant consolidation, school safety work, and elevating student voice in policy decisions.

Managed relationships with legislators, state agency leadership, and organizational partners. Supported member engagement for 1,600 administrators. Policy lead for statewide nutrition program expansion, making Oregon the national leader in nutrition access.

Fellow with the Urban Leaders Fellowship based in Washington, D.C. with a focus on education policy issues, including school safety challenges. Worked directly with the Chair of the D.C. Council's Education Committee; my policy recommendations were included in the School Safety Act of 2018, which passed unanimously out of the Education Committee and received full funding from the Council.

In this role, I used experiential and brain-based learning techniques to teach social and emotional learning (SEL) skills to primarily low-income students in the United States, including how to be creative, build relationships, solve complex problems, move through adversity, and take responsibility. Additionally, I helped develop SEL curriculum.
