I have over 11 years of experience with private and public clients, including numerous projects with NCDOT. I have worked heavily on multiple NCDOT Design and Design Build projects. My work in the field of Transportation Engineering has allowed me to become proficient in both design and drafting of horizontal and vertical roadway components, as well as, structural and hydraulic components. I have extensive knowledge of both Microstation and GEOPAK and I specialize in customization of Microstation menus as well as offering tips and tricks to co-workers. My assignments have afforded me the opportunity to learn Corridor Modeling and become proficient in modifying templates for all types of roadways and creating 3D models to acquire construction limits and quantities.• Vast knowledge of NCDOT workspaces as well as experience with workspaces from Georgia DOT, Tennessee DOT, South Carolina DOT, and Virginia DOT• Microstation Print Organizer for use in creating PDFs of plans for NCDOT and other clients• Use and editing of plot configuration and pentable files for plan preparation and printing• Downloading and placing of aerial photogrammetry for roadway projects• Using LIDAR and other digital terrain modeling to create/convert files for elevation data extraction• Use of Google Earth and Microstation as a two-way platform: Downloading aerial imagery for placement in Microstation for roadway projects, as well as using Microstation to sync view within Google EarthI am a very technical oriented worker and I thoroughly enjoy digging into design elements using design manuals and standards to guide me. I aspire to keep my roots on the technical design path as much as possible. During the times where I’m not working on roadway design, I enjoy learning all I can about the ins and outs of Microstation and GEOPAK and I love sharing my experiences with other users as much as possible.
