This role is focused on event management and the overseeing of the National Stunt Scooter Championships. I was tasked with budgeting, management of a team consisting of both volunteer / paid employees as well as the successful running of the event series, which spans a total of 7 events, spread between each country within the UK.

In this role I was tasked with supporting the growth and management of two online retail stores as well as an Internationally focused B2B site. My role included general website maintenance, graphic design, video editing and animation, customer liaison and support, (for both professional B2B clients and public retail customers) as well as event management and general day to day duties. As well as this, I worked on the in-house web launch, deployment of product and content creation for some high-profile brands, including Cabrinha, Dakine, Rocky Mountain, Quiksilver and Roxy.

In this role I was tasked to grow and expand a client base for both the B2B and retail sides of the company, while keeping previous clients up to date with projects and new product launches. I was responsible for contacting B2B clients via telephone, video call and email, as well as visiting customers at their place/s of business nationwide. On the retail side, I was tasked with creating informative, stand-out mailers and social media posts to keep customers interested and hooked into our brands. I planned, hosted and ran events for the general public to participate in, Nationwide.

Freelance video editor / animator taking projects from brief through completion, on a client request basis.Work involves sourcing relevant stock footage (both moving and still image), cutting up and editing pre-shot footage / audio files and animating large volumes of graphic / text elements. This work requires an adaptive mind and the ability to work with subjects of all varieties. As a freelance video editor, I work predominantly with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop, and have a solid understanding of their working flow. I also have experience using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Audition, Avid and DaVinci Resolve among other apps.

I was responsible for the management of the business’ social media channels, tasked to grow attendance and inform visitors, as well as creating the content for this. As part of my role, I shot and edited a wide range of events, ranging from action sports to fitness enduro to rock concerts to fashion shows and corporate showcases. Advertising the business was also part of this role and saw me make a variety of promotional material for both in-house and external, DOOH, use. As Rush’s profile grew, the demand for quality graphic design work increased. I stepped up to take this on as an additional role, creating posters for advertising, both as physical copies and for social media / web-based platforms. I also used this skill to make designs for clothing, stickers etc… that were sold both online and through the in-house Rush Skatepark shop. My skill set enabled me to create graphic design elements, such as logos, and then animate them in Adobe After Effects. This role also required me to build online stores using Shopify & Squarespace and to manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce side of the business.

This role saw me planning and executing around 5-6 events at Rush Skatepark every year for all disciplines. These included smaller, locally aimed events, as well as large scale events such as ScootFest, the Mongoose BMX Jam and the Australian Scooter Hut PRO series which saw an international audience attend.

This role required a strong level of communication, customer service and customer facing skills, as well as the ability to brief of group on the days activities, while keeping them interested and motivated for an extended period of time.
