The non-profit Western Erie Canal Alliance 501(c)3 was incorporated in 2006 to implement the National Heritage Corridor Management Plan. Additional information: The Western Erie Canal Alliance is the managing entity of New York State’s Management Plan for the Western Erie Canal Heritage Corridor. This corridor encompasses a 136 miles stretch along the Erie Canal and includes all communities in the counties of Erie, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans and Wayne.In 2008, the Western Erie Canal Alliance (WECA) established the Western Erie Canal Main Street® Program (WECMSP), under the auspices of the National Trust Main Street Center (NTMSC).The National Main Street® program’s proven success rests on the establishment of local community-based, grassroots organizations that work through preservation and planning to create an economic climate for reinvestment in historic commercial cores through the Main Street Four Point Approach ®

Slow Food Rochester is the local chapter for the Greater Rochester area of Slow Food USA, a non-profit, membership supported organization committed to reviving food Slow Food is in contrast to fast food. It is about making food choices that:- are healthy and delicious- are produced in a sustainable manner- supports local small farmers and farm workers- preserves regional food traditions- promotes diversity in our food options- are available to all at a reasonable costSlow Food Rochester aims to produce a dramatic and lasting change to the regional food system to ensure food equity, health and enjoyment! Through my company Slow Road Consulting, my role as Senior Consultant was to work in project management, community engagement, and administration for the non-profit, and champion the vision of the GardenAerial project and Greentopia Festival - working with a vast array of people in the community, local businesses, and policy makers at city, county, and state levels. The Friends of the GardenAerial (501c3) was founded in March of 2011, FoGA mission is “through stewardship, innovative design, and community outreach to preserve natural and historic resources, and cultivate High Falls transformation into a world-class public green space."Duties for my client included: - assisting in the strategic direction of the organization - serving as a project manager through our efforts with the FlourGarden - a $500k capital project and first component (demonstration project) of the GardenAerial - written grants for land acquisition and capital improvements ($100k in awarded grants to date) - manged online communications (newsletter, social media, blogs) - created successful fundraising campaigns (annual campaign 2012-2013, ioby crowdfunding) - participated in high level donor relations - presented or participated in over 150 meetings - worked in administrative support of NYS grants (CFA's, intern management, grant support) - produced organizational documents (donor letters, marketing materials, BOD Agenda's) - public relations (featured tedxflourcity speaker 2013, 1370AM "The Crossing" WXXI) - built strategic partnerships (City of Rochester, LWRP, NYS) - served as a community stakeholder (BOA LYLAKS Steering Committee, FL Sustainability Mgmt Plan, Sister Cities Friendship Committee, Landmark Society Preservation Issues Committee)

Internship was intensively focused in the development of the first new website in over 5 years for the record label. I worked on managing and loading the majority of the web content for both the Tooth & Nail Records web page as well as sub-label Solid State Records, utilizing third-party services such as Flickr and You Tube to add depth and content to the website.I also traveled to multiple music festivals to work in promotional assistance for the label. (Sonshine Festival and Vans Warped Tour)Limited experience submitting Soundscan Reports to both General Market and to the Christian Music Association.
