This challenge involves a 192-mile bike ride that raises funds for the DFCI and the Jimmy Fund. It's worth noting that since its inception in 1980, the PMC has raised an impressive $1 billion for Dana-Farber.I am an avid outdoorsman (ski, golf, hockey, hiking, biking, CrossFit, etc), a Boston sports fan, and a “retired ski bum”. After three winters in Colorado chasing snow and powder turns, I have been (back) in the Boston area since 2014 and is happiest at home with my wife, Meaghan, sons Grayson and Hayes, and a yellow lab named Hayden.

I chose to dedicate time during the initial few weeks with our first child to be "all-in" on fatherhood, an experience that was cut short in my own upbringing. I knew I couldn't dive head first into a new role and be the best first-time father that I wanted to be. In time leading up to birth, I spent time refocusing my efforts on my own physical + mental health, creating better dietary habits, read more books than I ever have before, and spent the most undistracted time I have ever spent with my wife and family. Yes, I played a little golf and sat on a beach here or there too - not going to hide that. But I feel great. Emerging out of my first few weeks of fatherhood with a renewed sense of purpose, drive and accountability as I seek my next work opportunity. I feel healthier and more balanced then ever before. Not to mention I have a new best friend to keep me motivated.
