► Created testing a framework to build and test command chains on an event source system used to build and save rendering instructions for the company’s hyper-local website render. The framework was designed to use the same tests for both testing against a websocket server instances for integration testing as well as a in-process servers for development testing. The system made it easy to reuse and fork command chains for easy testing of edge cases and failure conditions.► Migrated existing command tests to the new testing framework.► Added and updated commands to the event source system.► Helped integrate the rendering system with the web serving system.► Regularly reviewed PRs for merging.

► Developed software with a JavaScript/Node.js backend and a web-based frontend. Some frontend technologies included, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Twitter Bootstrap, Knockout.js, and Socket.IO. All projects used Git as the SCM of choice.► Agile methodologies were used for planning development. Planning was done as a team. Every day, stand-ups were used for progress updates. Coding was usually done independently with the occasions paired sessions.► Developed a software solution that was paired with one of the company’s router products to act as an appliance. The software allowed the scheduling and rapid deployment of firmware images over the local network segment. This application required the use of SNMP and the modification the ARP tables in order to communicate with the devices and deduplicate their IP addresses.► Rebuilt from the ground up a previously PHP/JavaScript (Node.js) application with a MySQL database into a pure JavaScript and Mongo application. The application makes use of the Express.js framework to implement REST APIs to receive commands from the web client. For notifications, such as when pertinent database elements are modified, Socket.IO is used rather than requiring the client to poll the server.
