Responsibilities:· Review and report financial performance to the Executive Team and Board members (daily, weekly and monthly)· Analyse key performance indicators from other departments within the business, namely Marketing, Property, Loss Prevention, Distribution Centre and Operations· Undertook a key role in several strategic projects, such as management information, stock reduction, creditor terms improvement, WSSI development, lease swap, Internet growth and cost reduction· Responsibility for some month-end management accounts, namely store and head office wages, retrospective discounts, head office expenses and marketing costs· Co-ordination of once yearly budget, and regular re-forecasts, with all senior heads of departments· Liase regularly with members of the Board, Executive Team, venture capitalists, banks, credit insurers and internal / external consultants· Manage the development of one part-qualified accountantAchievements:· Worked closely alongside the Finance Director in the successful completion of the sale of T J Hughes Ltd, to Endless LLP, in April 2011, as well as the successful asset based refinancing, completed with Burdale Financial Limited in March 2011· Improved performance reporting to the Executive Team, stores and buying & merchandising teams, with clear, concise, user friendly reports· Designed and implemented a robust “new store” model, which quickly identifies whether a potential new store is desirable and feasible· Managed and coordinated profit improvement plans to underpin a weakening sales performance in November 2010· Delivered a high quality monthly Finance report, which forms the main part of the T J Hughes Board pack
