Robotics engineering leadership. Led development of simulation platforms and autonomy algorithms. Managed teams of software engineers and applied scientists. Built a fast, high-fidelity and deterministic simulation platform for Amazon Robotics. Powered millions of simulations to develop safety-critical modules. Worked on graphics engines, modelling, scenario generation, cloud infrastructure, path planning, perception, and controls.Authored plans and architecture for DO-178C certification of avionics and perception modules. Interfaced with government regulators and FAA engineering representatives.Led initiative to share and align robotics frameworks being developed across Amazon.

Technical lead and software engineering manager, focused on robotics simulation and autonomy. Conducted 250+ interviews for a variety of roles across Amazon as a technical assessor and bar raiser.

Developed multi-sensor platforms for robot perception. Integrated and optimized GPU modules into embedded platform architecture. Subsequent work on machine learning and simulation.

Founding engineer on the Prime Air drone team in Cambridge, UK. Designed and deployed dozens of edge devices to automate operations. Multiple patents filed and granted. Hired an engineering team, and then launched Amazon’s first customer deliveries by drone.
