About Benji Haye
Benji is a proven builder and investor with a background in consulting and startup operations. He currently works as Chief of Staff for Flip AI, a breakthrough technology company on a mission to help enterprises reach the highest level of customer experience by unlocking the full potential of their observability data. At Flip AI, Benji directly supports the CEO, and leads multiple cross-functional projects as the company continues to grow and scale. He's always been acutely aware of how gaps in access and opportunity can directly influence and change the trajectory of someone’s life. As he's learned more about the startup ecosystem and the lack of funding for founders of color and representation among capital allocators, he saw these effects play out on a larger scale. Working with VC Unleashed gives him the opportunity to help change the face of VC, from both sides of startup ecosystem. He's worked with a variety of early-stage venture funds including Precursor Ventures, Collide Capital, Antler, H/L Ventures, and Atomic while earning his MBA at Harvard Business School. Simultaneously he's helping to increase representation with his work with VC Unleashed, a non-profit aimed to assist emerging MBA investors of color with training, employment opportunities and community. Prior to that, Benji was an operator and intrapreneur at Better.com. In his last role, he was a Strategy and Operations Manager for Better Real Estate, an ancillary business of the fast-growing homeownership platform, Better.com. He worked alongside the general manager of the business to rapidly scale the company, overseeing business strategy, marketing, operational processes, financial metrics while wearing a myriad of other hats as the company scaled. He started his career as a strategy analyst at Accenture after graduating with honors from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Management and a double-minor in Psychology and Public Policy. While at NYU, Benji was a strong student leader serving as president of multiple student organization's, co-founder of a pro-bono consulting organization and student representative for both the NYU and NYU Stern Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Ben is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter organization established for African-American men.
