Dissertation: Conditional Mechanical Squeezing of a Micromechanical Oscillator-Led the modeling, design, and building of a mixed free‑space/fiber quantum optics experiment to produce optically and mechanically squeezed states with potential application to gravitational decoherence measurements and quantum force sensing-Designed and constructed a new method to measure and tomographically reconstruct quantum optical states with speed, precision, and ease via FPGA-mediated control-Contributed to an international team of researchers designing the next generation of gravitational wave detectors by proposing and modeling a method using large earthworks to mitigate low-frequency, seismic Newtonian noise in an efficient and cost-effective manner

Worked in a quantum optics lab building an optomechanical experiment to demonstrate a novel, no-cavity optical effect.Also worked at the LIGO Livingston Observatory commissioning the detector before the 3rd observing run.

Head RA for summer programs. Responsibilities included assisting in supervision of the residence hall including performing emergency duties, coordinating and organizing events between concurrent summer programs, and facilitating social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to residential high school life.

Utilized standard physics and mathematical methods to analyse Hyperloop pod stability and aerodynamics for use in SpaceX's Hyperloop competition. Provided feedback to the engineering team based on pod design and tube conditions optimizing for stability, maximum speed, safety, and passenger comfort.

Assisted the instructor in teaching trigonometry. Class was in session 5 hours a day. Responsibilities included grading homework, answering questions from students in class and out, holding an hour and a half of guided study daily, and reiterating previously learned concepts by lecturing during guided study.

Assisted the department purchasing coordinator by handling all small orders. Daily tasks included receiving purchasing requests from faculty members, placing and documenting orders of up to $5000, receiving orders, and maintaining departmental inventory. This job required a high level of independence and trust as sensitive department information was being handled.

EXCEL is a Summer program designed for incoming students to LSMSA who are borderline on admissions. This program puts them through mock LSMSA courses to prepare them and see how they behave in the school environment, to determine whether or not they should be admitted. As an EXCEL Teaching Assistant, I graded papers, administered tests and quizzes, held guided studies, answered questions both in-class and out, and functioned as residential life staff at the student dormitories.

Helped provide training to other cadets on ground control operation of the FalconSAT-3 satellite, as well as general ground satellite operations. Responsibilities included training and certifying fellow cadets for operations and data collection, as well as operating the satellite myself.
