Ben John is heading Microsoft's Generative AI Platform, enabling partners to design and scale native personalized AI experiences. Ben has extensive expertise in managing world-class products and engineering teams and developing large-scale, high-volume systems. Ben is deeply passionate about human talent and technology with a mission to solve complex business problems and contribute to making this world a better place to live. Ben was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Xandr and AppNexus, the largest independent AdTech platform with a vision to create a better internet. Ben managed the successful merger of AppNexus with AT&T in 2018, and co-founded Xandr by combining all AT&T advertising assets, including AppNexus and Clypd. This established Xandr as a major technology platform in the TV & Digital advertising ecosystem powered by media and data.In 2022, Ben architected the sale of Xandr to Microsoft. Ben joined the Microsoft Advertising leadership team and integrated Xandr & Microsoft Ads as a leading platform of choice for advertisers & publishers and played a key leadership role in the Microsoft / Netflix advertising partnership. Ben holds a Ph.D. in computer science, focusing on machine learning and big data mining. Ben strongly believes in "Pay it Forward" and founded a non-profit organization, Invest to Impact Network Foundation (ITOI), that uses technology to impact people’s lives positively.
