  • Melbourne It
Manager, Security, Mit, Linux And Corporate It Services
    Melbourne It Aug 2013 - Feb 2014
    Melbourne, Victoria, Au
Following an internal restructure I took on a new role encompassing three distinct areas; Corporate IT Services, Security Services and MIT and Linux Services.Corporate IT Services is responsible for the support of the company's end user computing requirements and is currently working on phone system upgrades, desktop SOEs rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, as well as directly supporting staff spread across 4 offices.Security Services is responsible for security across all of Melbourne IT including our ISO27001 certification program. While this is not a new role, the new teams I manage along side this one will allow for much wider and efficient adoption of security controls across the organisation.MIT and Linux Services are currently two separate teams that manage similar technology stacks. Here we will build a new team, taking the best from the original two and aligning ourselves to support the business in a more agile manner. We will take much of the work done in my previous role around cloud computing and apply those principles to move towards a DevOps culture and enable our development teams to deliver more, quicker for the business while maintained and improving stability, security and cost effectiveness.
