With a positive attitude to learning and development I have a proven record in translating complex scientific ideas and distilling them down into clear-cut and engaging verbal presentations and written materials across a range of media rich formats. My professional health and fitness career started in 1995. Throughout my career I have been involved with helping thousands of people move closer to achieving their own or their clients health and wellness goals. I have honed my skills 'on the shop floor' as a personal trainer, a fitness manager, fitness centre manager, weight loss group leader, a fitness and nutrition tutor, a course developer, and as a national manager for a team of high performing fitness tutors. I enjoy presenting and have done so nationally and internationally at key events such as the International Fitness Showcase, Fitpro UK, Weston A Price conference (UK and USA) Leisure Industry Week, Body Power and PT Planet in the Netherlands. I have authored numerous courses, such as several accredited fitness and personal training courses, sleep recovery specialist. L4 Exercise and Nutritional Interventions for Obesity and Diabetes, Postural Assessment and Corrective Exercise, Suspended Movement Training and other advanced nutrition modules for weight management and physical performance. I am a keen writer and blogger contributing to the press and media. I am the host of a popular video podcast called the Fit to Succeed Show.
