As the first hire, I have worked on the architecture and implementation of APIs for authentication and end-to-end encrypted data storage. This includes designing a database-like API, storage patterns, clients for encryption / decryption, key management, admin UIs, and more.

I finished my time at Cruise as the lead of the Data Foundation team which built various data products that served teams across our Machine Learning Infrastructure (MLI) organization.My primary achievement there was designing and leading development of a data management platform that today manages terabytes of data across the machine learning teams in MLI. The product was rapidly adopted, and its early success and stability proved that it would be a good foundation for future data products. At the time of my departure, the team was building the next generation Data Mining Platform on top of it, which will be responsible for a critical piece of Cruise's ML pipelines.

Joined Nextdoor as part of an acquihire of my team from FamWorked on bringing two new product lines to Nextdoor's core platform: Real Estate and Local Businesses. I led the development of Nextdoor's first self-serve ads reporting product.Co-architected initial version of Nextdoor’s first self-serve payments system using Stripe for payment processing.

I led frontend development of a legacy web application redesign with an emphasis improving the UX and code quality, particularly by implementing a responsive design as well as modernizing the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.

Developed a web application for CBOE's system administrators to provide visibility and alerting around system health for the thousands of servers they were responsible for monitoring. I was given full autonomy over the design and development of the application, which I was able to successfully deploy before the end of my internship. The application was built with Ruby on Rails along with some frontend JavaScript components.
