About Ben Kersh

With a strong foundation in academic advising, higher education administration, and a deeply rooted passion for increasing the accessibility of higher education, I focus on fostering positive relationships between students, faculty, and staff. My prior experience as an Assistant Archivist for both the American Institute of Architects and UC Santa Barbara's Art, Design, & Architecture Museum primed my skills in archival research, database management, and community engagement. There, I facilitated public access to vital information about property development, and connected with local contractors, architects, and homeowners. This combination of academic administration and hands-on archival work allows me to bridge the gap between institutional organization and public engagement. Ultimately, I aim to use my background in planning and historical analysis to help advance the quality and health of the places we call home. Driven by a passion for making information accessible and improving processes, I am always seeking innovative ways to support the goals of students, faculty, and the broader community. At this time, I am looking for connections and professional development opportunities. Feel free to reach out to me either on here or by Email at Bkersh50@gmail.com.
