Worked in Dr. Jeffrey Davis's optics and laser lab. In addition to research in diffractive optics, I helped fix broken equipment and set up new experiments.

Aided in the development of an integrated photonics sensor.

Created a website and mobile application dedicated to simplifying the process of finding and volunteering at community service events in the Greater San Diego Area.

Tutored for SDSU's Math Learning Center. I tutored the following subjects: Pre-calc, Calculus I, II, and III, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. My main focus was Vector Calculus and Diff-Eq's.

Instructed two TA sessions for a pre-calc class once a week on campus. I was in charge of 60 undergraduate students. I gave lectures, organized labs related to the material, as well as graded homework, quizzes and tests.

During my time at QD, I performed a feasibility study for a proprietary technology:- I performed various maintenance operations on Quantum Design's Magnetic Properties Measurement System (MPMS3). This includes transferring cryogens, a full warm-up of the system and measurement probe, checking for shorts on the measurement probe and finally rebuilding/cooling down the system.- I created 3-D models for prototypes using SolidWorks.- I wrote scripts (in C and BASIC) to perform specialized measurement commands not available in the MPMS3 GUI.- I created prototypes, ran various measurements on the MPMS3, and analyzed the data to characterize the prototype's behavior.- At the end of my internship, I had to present my work to a room of 30+ QD employee's.
