I am currently studying Biological Sciences at the University of Liverpool. I have long had a general and broad interest in the life sciences, which is only reinforced by the degree I am studying. While studying Biological Sciences, I am ensuring to keep an open mind about possible routes of employment. I would keenly take on work in any sector within the life sciences or beyond, as I feel the transferable skills that I have, and will continue to gain from this degree (which range from data analysis, team work, presentation and communication skills, as well as laboratory skills/experience within the life sciences) would be useful in many sectors of employment within or outside of the life sciences.

  During my time at Alder Hey, I undertook various roles, including administrative roles in PALS, overseeing and looking after the A/V equipment in the hospital to ensure the TV's in the hospital's and wards were working effectively, as well as helping out on the reception desk in the main atrium of the hospital as a point of contact for visitors to the hospital. The time I spent at Alder Hey was very valuable work experience, especially considering my time spent there was during the start of COVID-19 Pandemic. The job gave me valuable experience, helping me develop my communication, problem solving, and leadership skills, as well as gaining experience working within an administrative team.
