As an orthopaedic physical therapy resident, I independently managed a caseload of 30 patient care hours per week, while receiving over 100 hours of direct and indirect mentoring from experienced faculty. Throughout this experience, I developed and presented 7 critically appraised topic presentations and also taught more than 60 hours in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in the role of a clinical instructor, lecturer, and lab instructor for various classes. Forming a novel research question and study design and completing an IRB-approved capstone project for submission to the combined sections meeting was also a large part of this experience.

Working on my final rotation as a physical therapy student, I completed a 9-week acute care experience. During this experience I independently managed highly complex patients with a wide variety of orthopaedic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neurological impairments. I worked on a wide variety of floors, but primarily spent time in the cardiovascular, surgical, and transplant intensive care units.

As a performance physical therapy intern, I completed a 9-week sports medicine rotation where I worked with elite professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. I independently performed evaluation and treatment of athletes in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, athletic trainers, orthopaedic surgeons, performance coaches, and nutritionists. Through this experience I obtained the EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS) certification and became proficient in the FMS, SFMA, and Y-Balance movement screens.

Working as a sales associate, I performed biomechanical evaluations of each customer's running gait and matched each customer with an ideal shoe for their needs and lifestyle. Cultivating successful and long-standing relationships with retail customers was an important aspect of my position.

During this 10-week clinical rotation, I worked in an outpatient clinic specializing in the treatment of patients with orthopaedic and neurologic impairments. I managed a patient population ranging from collegiate athletes to a geriatric population. Creating and presenting a fall prevention program to at risk elderly adults was the capstone of this experience.

During my first clinical rotation, I completed a 4-week experience in a skilled nursing facility. I performed chart review, evaluation, and treatment of geriatric patients with primarily orthopaedic impairments. Discharge planning as well as attending home visits and patient care conferences were hallmarks of this experience.

In pursuit of my undergraduate degree in athletic training, I worked with a wide variety of Marquette University's division one athletic teams, including men's basketball, men's soccer, and men's and women's track and field. Throughout these internships, I became proficient in the performance of on and off field injury evaluations and treatment including taping, bracing, laser treatment, and exercise prescription.

In my final undergraduate athletic training experience, I worked with the Wisconsin Lutheran College football team during their 2016 season. While on a medical team of an ATC and multiple athletic training students, I independently managed the on and off field care of players with various football related injuries, including concussions, ligament sprains, and muscular strains.

As a member of the Milwaukee Brewers sports medicine staff, I worked collaboratively with certified athletic trainers, strength coaches, and team physicians to guide players through rehabilitation programs. A primary role of mine was implementing players' aquatic therapy programs and utilizing various testing and modalities including FMS and Y-Balance testing as well as ultrasound and electrical stimulation in the rehabilitation of players. I also independently prepared the field and athletic training room with all necessary supplies.
