Played a key role on a "cost down" project which involved redesigning existing sub-systems within a large hematology platform to improve cost and reliability. Involved in the development of a single axis linear robot, an 4-axis gantry robot and a slide handling and input concept.♦ Solely designed, built and verified a single axis linear robot sub-system, meeting production cost, functional and reliability targets♦ Helped develop two separate automated reliability rigs with positional feedback to perform lifetime testing with minimal user input♦ Developed a new slide handling and input concept which was successfully adopted by the client♦ Successfully installed, tested and demonstrated robot sub-systems at client site in the USA, which served as an important sales exercise and was key to selling the project to the next phase.
