A graduate of Oxford University, I commenced my career in advertising. I was appointed CEO of the globally renowned Collett Dickenson Pearce agency at the age of 28. I turned a £2m loss making company into a £2m profit in three years. Headhunted by McCann-Erickson in 1996 I was promoted three times during my seven years at the firm; to UK Chairman, European President of Universal McCann and EMEA Regional Director for McCann-Erickson World Group. I grew the UK company from No 14 to No 2 and doubled its annual revenues. It was voted the UKs best agency by the marketing community in 2003. In 2004 I became UK Chairman of Euro RSCG ('Havas'​) and led winning pitches for LG Electronics Europe, News International and Superdrug. I formed Digital Marketing Group in 2005 and launched it on the Stock Exchange in 2006 as its Chief Executive. The company grew organically and via a series of acquisitions to employ nearly 1,000 people in the UK. I was voted No 1 in the UKs 'Power 100'​ for digital direct marketing professionals and was shortlisted for 'Entrepreneur of the Year'​ by both Marketing Direct Magazine, and the Quoted Companies Alliance. In 2010 I was declared a winner of the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' awards hosted by Ernst and Young. I resigned from Digital Marketing Group in 2011 and set up Tradigital, a consultancy business offering advice to digital businesses. Through this I became a Non Executive Director at dryrobe and Sportscoach UK, as well as an International advisor to Baobaz a global eCommerce consultancy. In 2012 I became CEO of Seren, the UK's leading customer experience and service design consultancy. In August 2015 Seren was acquired by Ernst & Young (EY) and EY-Seren was born. Whilst remaining CEO of the acquired company I became a Partner at EY as well as EMEIA Head of EY-Seren. I retired from the EY Partnership in March 2017 to explore new ventures. I am now Chairman of Class35 a digital management consultancy. Specialities: Mergers and Acquisitions. Transforming business performance.
