As a Build Reliability Engineer, ensured the reliability of flight components and assemblies for the Dragon and Dragon 2 Spacecraft. Evaluated product and process output data to drive improvements in manufacturing quality, and actively represent quality objectives in design and development teams. Roles and tasks include the disposition, containment, and corrective action for non-conforming product, assessment of build templates and engineering plans, inspection methodology and planning, root cause analysis, and manufacturing process improvement. Responsible for reliability and non-conformance management for work centers that build Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPVs), Draco and SuperDraco thrusters, and capsule structural weldment.Developed a "Keep-Kill-Modify" process methodology to evaluate every step of the manufacturing process to remove maintain critical to quality steps, remove unnecessary activities, and optimize remaining operations. Implementation of this process reduced build costs from one flight set to another by over 30% in a 6 month period of time. Process is still active and being adopted by other work centers company wide.
