Ben Levine is an emerging markets climate infrastructure investor at Global Infrastructure Partners, a part of BlackRock. Ben is responsible for originating, executing, and managing investments and serves as a Portfolio Manager of the Climate Finance Partnership (CFP), BlackRock’s flagship blended finance vehicle. Ben leads catalytic capital formation for the CFP franchise and serves as the Fund's primary relationship manager for government, philanthropic, sovereign wealth fund, and strategic corporate clients. Prior to his current position, Ben was a Vice President in the Office of the Chairman and CEO, where he managed Larry Fink’s strategy and engagements related to sustainable and transition investing, private markets, official institutions, and client businesses in the Middle East and APAC. Ben joined BlackRock in 2021 after serving as Vice President and Global Head of Origination at Sovereign Infrastructure Group (SIG), a private credit platform dedicated to co-investing in emerging market infrastructure projects and PPP transactions alongside Multilateral Development Banks.Previously, Ben served as Advisor for Global Economics and Finance at the White House National Security Council, where he was a member of President Obama’s G-7 and G-20 Sherpa team and supported the development of U.S. policy related to global financial markets, climate finance, sanctions, trade, economic development, and the economies of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Ben has also held roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Offices of the Chief of Staff, Domestic Finance, and Tax Policy) and worked on the Obama-Biden 2012 reelection campaign as Regional Field Director for Palm Beach County, Florida. Ben is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations Corporate Leader Program and holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
