In my second placement at PwC, I further built on the auditing skills and teamwork abilities developed during my first placement, allowing me to take on increasingly complex responsibilities and add greater value to the team. This experience provided invaluable opportunities to deepen my technical expertise, enhance my auditing knowledge, and contribute effectively to collaborative projects—all integral to PwC's values and standards.I set two key objectives for this placement. First, I aimed to advance my auditing knowledge and technical proficiency, ensuring I could contribute to audits at a consistently high standard. Second, I focused on honing my teamwork and communication skills, understanding that clear, impactful communication and collaboration are essential for team success. This placement has helped me develop the skills to communicate complex ideas simply, collaborate effectively, and foster a positive, productive team environment—qualities that will be essential as I progress in my career.I also became highly proficient in PwC’s auditing software, Aura, taking the initiative to master its key functions and tools. This proficiency has enabled me to complete tasks efficiently and accurately, furthering my ability to contribute meaningfully to our audit projects.My second placement at PwC has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to apply and enhance my auditing expertise, develop my technical skills, and gain hands-on experience in financial analysis. I am grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with skilled professionals, and I look forward to bringing this knowledge and experience to future roles and projects.

During my first placement at PwC, I received comprehensive introductory training, focusing on PwC's proprietary audit software, Aura, which integrates with Microsoft Excel. This role required me to swiftly improve my Excel proficiency on the job, as most audit tasks relied heavily on advanced Excel functions. I had a highly supportive team, who were always available to answer my questions and assist me with more complex tasks. The collaborative atmosphere at the PwC Manchester office was invaluable, with colleagues consistently eager to help each other.Throughout my time in the Manchester office, I primarily worked with the JCB audit team, who were exceptionally skilled and provided an outstanding learning experience. I gained extensive hands-on experience in both audit testing and completion, especially as the audit file neared its final stages. I’m grateful for the valuable skills and insights I gained during my time at PwC and appreciate the support provided by the team and mentors throughout my placement.
