Profile bio

About Benjamin Markus, Ma, Pmp

I have spent nearly a decade studying and working professionally in various project management and communications fields, including my current position as a project manager for University of Florida Information Technology (UFIT). I am currently managing a program of Data and Modern Analytics projects at UFIT. I have proven success in the areas of project management, strategic communications, organizational change management, systems-implementation (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday Adaptive Planning), constituent relationship management (Salesforce), and I have a strong working relationship with both UFIT administration, and core UF administrative business offices.Examples of my professional success include:✔ Public Relations, Communications and Organizational Change Management Strategies: My team has developed and given some 50 presentations to constituencies such as college associate deans, department chairs, the University Curriculum Committee, the Undergraduate Advisory Council and UF Student Government. However, these presentations are not unidirectional, as my role necessitates acting as a liaison between these stakeholders and program management. These presentations often include the collection, documentation and communication of stakeholder business needs and requirements to program management and leadership. My work within COMPASS, as well as that of my team, has been deemed integral to the program senior administration at the University of Florida.✔ Relationship Cultivation: In my previous role within COMPASS’ Organizational Change Management Team, I worked daily with COMPASS team members, UFIT leadership, and non-program stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute communications and organizational change management strategies for the program and its myriad initiatives. Integral to this effort was my ability to initiate, develop and maintain strong working relationships with these various stakeholders, as well as a strong knowledge of the system-usage and business processes of the university’s colleges, departments and administrative units.
