In my role at KPMG, I am based in the management consulting sector, specialising in technology M&A.Buy and sell-side work focused on: • Due diligence at all stages of the deal process, highlighting the impact of technology on business strategy, operations and ultimately deal valuation.• Deal execution advice alongside various financial, legal, operational and strategic advisors.• Post-deal advisory on technology optimisation initiatives (eg. carve outs, integrations and synergy analysis).Key responsibilities include:• Business strategy analysis, technology assessment, financial analysis, senior client relationship management (e.g. CFOs, CIOs and Investment Directors) and report writing

My role as part of the management information team involved liaising closely with various areas of the business to establish their MI requirements and then producing the required reports from the core policy platform using my SQL and SAS programming skills. During my six months at Admiral I developed in depth knowledge of these database technologies.

I prepared tax returns for high net worth individuals. I worked as part of a national team ensuring information supplied was accurate. My key responsibilities were drafting client letters, writing reports for management and managing large workloads to key deadlines.
