Over a career of more than 25 years, I have spent the past 22 years building and leading finance teams within the private equity industry. Leveraging my experience with multiple firms, across multiple asset classes (buyout, real estate and venture capital), I seek to add real value with a strategic, commercial and pragmatic approach.Building on the strong foundations of my experience at Brockton Capital and Doughty Hanson, my recent roles have focused on younger private equity firms, building the teams, systems and processes to handle growing scale and complexity. My approach has been to institutionalise in the right areas, simplifying complexity and operationalising it, without losing the entrepreneurial core of a business.In each of these recent leadership positions, I have had a leading role in all strategic, financial, tax, regulatory and operational matters. I have worked day-to-day across all parts of each firm and its funds, from the investor side (fundraising and investor relations) to the investment side (transaction support and asset management), and all in between.
