Ben helped to connect members with over 250 internship and networking opportunities with leading organizations across Arizona and in leading sports business markets across the country. Organizations included MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, NASCAR, PGA, Fiesta Bowl, ASU Athletics, Nike, ESPN, MLB Network, and Fox Sports, to name a few. Ben created and launched our industry advisory board, chaired by the VP of Business Development of the Arizona Cardinals. Other members include leading professionals from ASU Athletics, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Fox Sports Arizona, Navigate Sponsorship Research, SportSearch, Golf for a Cause, and the Artigue Agency. The fundamental purpose of this group is to help strengthen our leadership and performance, to help us generate ideas and activities, and to strengthen the connection between our students and the sports community. At the beginning of the semester, Ben created and organized our First Annual Sports Business Internship Fair. 23 sports organizations attended, speaking and providing opportunities to over 130 students. This event was a huge success, exceeding the expectations for student and company attendance. Ben helped to demonstrate our initiative and competence to many sports business organizations and professionals, and we are developing relationships with them that can be leveraged in the future. Because of his efforts, SBA will continue to become the go-to resource for both ASU students and sports business organizations in the Valley and beyond. One more word: Superstar. Ben is well on his way to being a superstar in the industry. As one area sports business professional said about Ben, "we will all be working for Ben in about 15 years.""
