For my senior capstone project at Olin College, I worked with a small team of Olin students for the DoT's Volpe Center and IIHS to develop blindzonesafety.org, a blindzone calculator. I wrote an algorithm to generate the blindzone boundary given a LiDAR-generated vehicle mesh, which increased accuracy by more than 85%! At the end of the year, we delivered.

Through the ARC program, I coached my peers through their academic careers, aiding with skills such as time management, effective communication, teambuilding, etc.

I was a course assistant for an intro-level software class taught in Python. I reviewed code to check for high quality design, style, and implementation, and learned how to quickly parse and understand new code. I also gained a fundamental understanding of concepts such as dictionaries, recursion, and higher-order functions so that I could explain them to.

As a course assistant for FoCS, I taught students foundational concepts in Computer Science, such as Turing Machines, the Lambda Calculus, complexity classes, the Halting Problem, and more. I worked them through problems involving these concepts in both Haskell and OCaml, and implemented these computational models myself.

I designed and implemented Easel, an app to work with Canvas (the Learning Management Software). I was the sole user researcher, designer, and programmer on this project, and so got experience conducting surveys, finding pain points, designing software for usability, and implementing said software myself.
