I am a finance professional with over 9 years of experience in various roles forecasting cash flows, performing financial planning & analysis, partnering with sales teams to grow revenue as well as operations teams to drive savings across the company. I have experience working in both consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and large vehicle manufacturing industries but tend to find each industry fascinating in its own way.I began my career in a Finance & Accounting Leadership Development program where I found my passion for building financial models, capital budgeting, and strategic financial planning. At the end of my two-year rotational program, I was selected based on performance to spend one year working in São Paulo, Brazil. Immersing myself in another country and culture was by far one of the most transformational experiences in my career.Over the last half decade, I have found my most memorable moments in my career to be the ones where I help my team succeed in their own career and personal ambitions. Teaching new concepts, being a mentor, and helping others grow have all proven to be powerful and energizing experiences as a team leader.These days I enjoy learning about technology and the ways data science is intertwining with finance to change the way companies perform financial analysis and uncover value. Spreadsheets have their place in finance, but I am excited by the opportunities to build new ways to work in finance through Python, R, and SQL in any way I can.
