One of my recent jobs involved overseeing the sales and maintaining the Technology Department at Office Depot. As a Senior Tech, I was responsible for troubleshooting and repairing computers for customers as well as sales and consulting. I work with many different programs and operating systems, am certified in Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, the Surface 3, and the Surface Pro; as well as hardware and software troubleshooting and replacement. In addition I consult with many affluent customers about their computer needs and ensure they get the best technical services for their money; I always stand by my work, and my word is my bond. I have been rated either #1 or within the top three sales positions each week for the past nine months. I am not paid on commission which gives me time to get to know a customers needs without them feeling pressured. I'm no used car salesman and over 95% of my interactions turn into a sale.Until May of 2014, I had been dispatching and providing retail security for a multi-million dollar property since 2006. During that time, I have written new policies and procedures to make our dispatching more effective, streamlined our dispatch system, and have moved up to become the department's Senior Dispatcher. In this role I have trained dozens of dispatchers, implemented new policies, and continue to refine our system to make our officers more effective at getting to where they need to be in a more timely manner. I oversee six additional dispatchers, and am also a shift lead, covering shifts of eight or more Security Officers whenever the supervisor is either out our otherwise unavailable. When training new Dispatchers, I use a three part training method, which covers all aspects of how a person learns: verbal, reading, and physically doing the job. I have received several awards and commendations for my work and continue to meet not only my company's expectations, but those of our client as well.I work well with others and on my own, and dependably honest.
