Ben commenced practice as a registered migration agent in 2015. He specialises in skilled and family visas, as well as Administrative Review Tribunal matters. He left the profession for a number of years to work alongside senior members of the Australian Government and Parliament in migration and national security policy advisory roles, before returning to the profession in 2024. He also lectures at Griffith University in their Migration Law and Practice program.Ben is the Chair of the Board of Volunteering Gold Coast, and a Board Member of the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce. He has also been a volunteer firefighter in the Tallebudgera Valley Rural Fire Brigade for over 15 years, where he is the First Officer and has received the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service Medal for his diligent and ethical service, before being named by the Service as “State Volunteer of the Year” in 2023.In 2010 the Gold Coast City Council recognised Ben for his community work, naming him “Gold Coast Young Citizen of the Year”.He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Social Science (Criminology) from Bond University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University (ANU).
