I'm an Arts-focussed, freelance Creative Technologist and Digital Artist. I collaborate with creative people who want to use technology, and brings their ideas to life.I also co-run Displace Studio an immersive Mixed Reality performance studio with co-lead Kerryn Wise. Our best known work is a VR experience called Facades which toured internationally.As a Creative Technologist I have a wide range of creative and technical skills and specialise in bringing them together to build unique products. I plan, manage and deliver complex projects, and as a Consultant and Educator provide knowledge and expertise. As an artist I enjoy projects with strong concepts and elements of interaction, movement, music or performance. I build interactive software, games and immersive experiences often using Unity and utilising Augmented or Virtual Reality (frequently for Vive and Meta VR headsets), 360 video and volumetric capture (mainly using Depthkit and Kinect cameras ) and have experience with Motion Capture and skeletal tracking.I also work with rapid prototyping using electrical components and microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc.) to build gadgets with sensors, buttons and lights.I do a lot of creative coding and am an experienced programmer (using mainly C#, PHP, Javascript and Python), often working with web, interactive, 3D graphics, audio, video, mobile devices, music controllers, and sound-reactive animation.I have teaching experience and my business training includes a year long fellowship as entrepreneur at BCU.Previously I have worked: On projects for various clients including : Blast Theory, Rachel Maclean, Open Data Institute, MotionHouse, City of Culture, Dazed, De Montfort University, Oxford University Press, Loughborough University, Birmingham City University, Juneau Projects, Ludic Rooms, Capsule & BOM.At events including : London Design Festival (2019, 2017), Random string (2018, 2016), Supersonic (2015, 2014, 2009), Artsfest (2010, 2009, 2004), Sónar, ES (2006-7), Twilight Zone, GR (2004), Contact Europe, DE (2004), Fierce Festival (2014, 2002, 2000), FIVARS (US/CA) (2021).
