I am an experienced project/program/operations manager within the public sector with 14+ years of experience in two separate styles of local government. This experience is supplemented by a BS in Construction Management from Colorado State University. My employment began as an intern for the City of Fort Collins, CO in the Pavement Management Program (PMP) in 2010 as I finished my degree. Ultimately, I spent 7 great years employed by the City of Fort Collins and gained the responsibility/title of an Engineering Project Manager. Throughout that period, my responsibilities expanded to include Council support, contract development/execution/management, interdepartmental/external coordination, budget estimating/tracking, personnel management, code updates, mobility improvements, and more. I left Fort Collins to get closer to family and continue to broaden my skills within City government, and began work as an Operations Manager/Pavement Management Program Manager in Public Works for the City of Issaquah. A small preview of my expanded duties involve Council presentations, code/policy updates, fee proposals, transportation concurrency review, Stormwater BMP, annual operating budget development/planning/tracking, Capital Improvement Project proposals, management of the Intelligent Traffic System, and more. I manage a 4MM street operating budget with 15 staff members, as well as ~5MM/year in Capital Improvement programs/projects that involve Pavement Management Program, concrete maintenance and upgrades, as well as detection replacement. I love being creative, finding process improvements and efficiencies, and holding up long-standing processes and looking for opportunities to improve, change, or check it off as the best way of doing things.
