I am a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer at a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on mission engineering in support of the United States Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, currently working on Zero Trust risk-management methodologies. A B.S. in Information Science with a focus on Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland and a certification from the National Academy Foundation in Finance while in high school have prepared me to understand both the technical and business aspects of a successful cybersecurity operation. An internship while in college with the cybersecurity/engineering organization, Tensley Consulting, expanded my skillset and knowledge within the cybersecurity field and introduced me to the US defense and intelligence community. Following graduation, I returned to Tensley where I now work full-time. I am passionate about protecting an organization’s information technology and cyber infrastructure against dynamic and evolving threat actors and aspire to use my education, training, and work experiences in a career that will allow me to further develop my understanding of business operations and the field of cybersecurity.
