I am a rising junior at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a major in supply chain management and collateral in international business. One of my greatest strengths is how quick I am to pick up new things and learn how they work. I was interning at Steam Logistics before my freshman year, I was the top caller in the first month of working there, and this spaned company-wide. I came in knowing next to nothing about how the supply chain worked, especially logistics, but I put my head down and worked until I was well-versed. Another strength of mine would be my ability to lead and guide others. I was apart of a group that helped underprivileged kids with their coursework. It was a part of their program YCAP, I tutored kids on most subjects and helped them develop skills in and out of the classroom. I have a specific goal in mind about what I want to achieve in the future. For starters, I want to jump in right after I graduate. This is to get my understanding of the business by working at one of the many logistics companies here in Chattanooga. After getting a few years of experience, I want to pursue my ultimate goal, to start my own company. I’d take all the connections I made and some of the people I met along the way and hit the ground running. This will be one of the hardest things I work on and the one I have the most passion for. I want to be able to help grow something from just an office of a few people to a massive network of branches across the US.
