Department of Otolaryngology The scope of work included outpatient clinics, performing day surgery procedures and assisting in major surgeries. I presented cases at multidisciplinary tumour board meetings and subspecialty board discussions. I also conducted journal reviews of the latest research publications, while being involved in ongoing clinical trials.

Being second in command in this active unit, I trained and equipped doctors and medics to respond to biochemical and terrorist warfare. I was also actively involved in high level policy and strategy meetings with medical commanders within the SAF.

Choa Chu Kang PolyclinicI was able to practice family medicine, including the management of common chronic diseases (Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Diabetes Mellitus) in a clinic equipped with allied health care professionals, radiological and laboratory support.

Emergency Medicine DepartmentThis was my first posting after receiving full medical registration. I worked in various parts of the department including acute resuscitative care and the extended treatment observation unit.

My third posting in Paediatrics was at NUH, where I had the privilege of caring for patients under subspecialty care including Medical Haematology-oncology, Neurology, Renal and Respiratory Medicine.

My second posting was in the Department of General Surgery, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In my care for patients under Trauma, Colorectal, Urology and the Head & Neck team, I was also recognized with the Teaching Award for PGY1s (Outstanding).

I began my first posting in the Department of Medicine, Alexandra Hospital, where I was involved in the care of patients admitted under Respiratory Medicine, Neurology, Renal and General Medicine.
