CurrentBennett (Ben) Root serves the community as a mediator, arbitrator, and fact finder. As a neutral, Ben is able to marshal years of legal dispute resolution and business experience to assist businesses and individuals in resolving disputes discreetly through negotiations or mediations. In appropriate cases, for example when harassment is an issue, Ben may serve as an independent and neutral fact investigator to help bring contested matters to a fair and balanced resolution.Ben is certified, compliant with State court and DRPA requirements; he trained in mediation and negotiation at the Straus Institute Dispute Resolution Program (LLM 2023) and at the Harvard Law School. Ben has represented both individuals and employers in various EEO and fair employment matters, and employer industry groups in negotiations and before grievance panels. Ben has been a small business owner, an entrepreneur, and has served as Chief Legal Officer for an emerging tech company. Ben has settled or litigated ownership and valuation issues.
