 Provide assistance during the estimating process, assisting in project scope definition, establishing job costing, and contract negotiation. Coordinate with project Superintendent and oversee work of all field staff. Select, coordinate and manage all sub-contractors on the project. Manage the monthly billing process, assure receipt of project payments, forecast billing, change orders and profit projections, establish project budgets, exercise cost control. Promote total quality and customer satisfaction by evaluating and ensuring all work being done on the project meets established guidelines. Establish construction standards, methods and operating procedures, working toward continuous improvements.

Zimmerman Paint Contractors Co. was established in 1959 in Fremont, Ohio. Still based in Fremont, Zimmerman Paint expanded its area to cover most of Northwest Ohio with roughly a 100 miles radius around Fremont, not including Indiana and Michigan. This area includes most large cities such as Toledo, Cleveland, and Columbus. My responsibilities during my Co-Op experience included but were not limited to: Reviewed plans to ensure that temporary construction fencing is installed correctly and meet the requirements of the project manager/superintendent on the job site. Obeyed all OSHA requirements on each job site to ensure the safety of all the workers.  Worked on pricing smaller fence jobs, as well as communicating with the project manager. Assisted in the loading and unloading of both paint trucks and fence trucks. Operated both a bobcat and a forklift around the shop as well as on job sites to aid in the process of setting up temporary fencing.
